valium is my new friend
sigh.
so i became a grown up today.
i called the dentist.
good news: i probably don't have cavities
bad news: my chipped teeth are the least of my problems
good news: i got a prescription for valium
bad news: it will cost me over $400 to get my gums fixed

You should pick up the supplemental dental insurance at the next open season. It's totally worth it- I would have had to pay $380 to get my cavities fixed recently and because of the dental insurance, only had to pay $66 (and may get some or all of that back). It's really not that expensive, especially if you're only paying for yourself (as opposed to the other categories).
hmmm...i'll definitely have to look into that!
did i mention that i have to first shell out all the cash (ovver $1000) and then wait for my insurance to pay me back?
